Who are you?

I'm Chris. I'm the dude behind Coz/Effect, Battlegate and Good Gravy.

Where are you?

Somewhere very close to Austin, Texas... very close... hiding behind a tumbleweed probably.

What do you do at SquirrelWorks?

Not only do I draw and co-write Coz/Effect and Battlegate, I'm the guy who puts the whole SW site and community together. I manage the entire website, sell advertising, and handle all convention preparations.

How do you make your comix?

I use 3 programs to do Coz/Effect - I use Adobe: Streamline to vectorize my line art, Adobe Illustrator to color and shade the characters, and then Adobe Photoshop to put the whole thing together. Battlegate is painted entirely in Photoshop.

How long have you been drawing?

I've been drawing since I was in the 3rd grade. I'm in my mid-20s now... so that comes out to a gagillion hours!

What are your Favorite Cartoons/Anime?

Wow, I've got a lot. All I do is watch cartoons. If you're expecting something special here, you'll be wrong, I love all the stuff you probably do when it comes to Anime. I'm a big Adult Swim junkie and love all the typical Anime that most people like - I totally dig Full Metal Alchemist (my fave), Big O, Cowboy Beebop, .Hack Twilight, Gundam Wing, FLCL, Eureka 7. Anime DVDS: I love the Megaman: Wish Upon a Star collection, and Case Closed. As for cartoons - I love Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, Ed Edd & Eddy, Teen Titans, Family Guy, Cow & Chicken, etc.

What were you doing before this?

I owned a small advertising studio here in Austin for about 5 years, we did ads for pretty big companies. I started it when I was in college, but my real love was cartoons, so on the side, I originally started a site called BoxerStudios.com. Later I met Aaron, and we became really good friends and decided to put our web comix in the same universe... so that's where SquirrelWorks came from.

Where did you go to school?

I graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a B.S. in Radio-TV-Film in 2001.
